Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT): This procedure involves removing a strip of scalp from the donor region (usually the rear region of the head), extracting individual follicular units from the strip, and transplanting it to the balding area. The process can move a large number of follicles in a single session. However, it leaves a linear scar at the donor site and involves a longer recovery time.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE): FUE includes extracting individual hair follicles directly from the donor area with a micro-punch tool and transplanting them to the balding region.
